100-inch TCL TVs – Test Rankings

Technology: LCD VA, Mini-LED PFS LED

Brand: TCL

Verdict:

Is it worth buying the TCL A400U? Yes, because it’s one of those TVs where paying extra for a higher series doesn’t always make sense. In movies you get what you usually expect from a good TV: very good blacks, strong HDR impact and a natural image, especially after calibration. Brightness is also sufficient during the day, though because of the glossy panel it’s better not to place it opposite a ...

Verdict:

The TCL RM7L is a TV that can’t be fairly judged by measurements and charts alone. Although it isn’t uncompromising hardware, in everyday use it more than holds its own. It delivers a bright, dynamic, and saturated image, which makes it great for HDR content, gaming, or fast-paced movies. The RM7L doesn’t chase perfect “reference” performance. Instead it serves up a picture that simply pleases the...

Verdict:

The TCL A400 Pro is one of the most interesting lifestyle TVs we've tested so far. And not because it turns the whole idea of the "TV as a picture" upside down. In that regard it does roughly what the competition does: it should look good, blend into the interior, and not be just another black slab in the living room. Its real strength lies elsewhere: in picture quality. It's the first TV of this ...

Verdict:

The TCL X11L is, without a doubt, a powerful demonstration of the manufacturer's capabilities and a TV that impresses in many areas. You can see the engineers focused on what matters most: peak brightness, black levels and contrast. The new quantum dots with an SQD filter do such a job that color saturation is on par with the top new RGB panels. And the blacks? The X11L can easily be placed next t...

Verdict:

TCL C8L is undoubtedly one of the most intriguing Mini-LED TVs to come into our lab this year. This model stands out primarily due to its excellent price-to-capability ratio. TCL has accustomed us to aggressive pricing of its screens, but in the case of the C8 series, the manufacturer has managed to push the boundaries even further. For the amount that often allows just the purchase of mid-range m...

The TCL C7L is an incredibly successful Mini-LED television and a fully deserved successor to the hit model C7K. The list of advantages of this device is truly long. Verdict:

The TCL C69K / Q6C is a TV that perfectly targets gamers and movie fans on a reasonable budget. Its biggest strength is the combination of a VA panel with Mini-LED backlighting. Simply put, contrast is high and blacks are deep, making evening movie sessions look truly impressive. Add to that a 144 Hz refresh rate, which does wonders not only for sports but especially for gaming. And for gamers, it...

TCL P8K is a television that immediately wins you over. It seems cheap, supposedly of lower quality, yet it can surprise you. This device shows that at this price, you can still get equipment with character – and it's specifically aimed at a certain group of users. Because let's be honest, the P8K is a television created with gamers in mind. Two HDMI 2.1 ports, VRR support, 4K at 120 Hz, HGiG, and...

Verdict:

There are TVs that make it to reviews and at first glance seem like just another "mediocre" model. The TCL C7K looks just like that – without big slogans about revolution, without ambitions to dethrone OLEDs. Yet after spending a few days with this model, it's hard not to come to the conclusion that it's truly a successful piece of equipment. The biggest advantages? Very good picture quality at a ...

The TCL C6K is a television for those who want to combine gaming and watching movies with good contrast, without spending a fortune. Thanks to the VA panel with Mini-LED backlighting, blacks are deep and contrast is high, so evening screenings look truly spectacular. Additionally, it offers decent brightness, which, combined with Dolby Vision, makes movies take on a cinematic character. The fluidi...
