A few years ago, hardly anyone associated the Hisense brand with our market. In Europe, it was rather an exotic curiosity, and today? Today, it’s one of the largest TV manufacturers in the world, which has also firmly settled down here. In sales rankings, it occupies increasingly higher positions, and in the offers of large stores, we can easily find dozens of models – from basic to more advanced constructions.
From the very beginning, Hisense has been consistently building its position, focusing primarily on LCD TVs with Mini-LED backlighting. And we must admit – they do this wisely. Although we won’t find OLED models here (at least not in our market), the range of Mini-LED models is very wide, well thought out, and targets various price segments. As a result, one can find something suitable for both a cinephile's living room and a smaller room where cost-effectiveness is the top priority.
Which model to choose? In this ranking, we will help you organize Hisense's offerings and suggest which models are particularly worth paying attention to in 2025 when they will hit the sales.
Best choice for the demanding
Hisense U8NQ
🏆 Best Hisense TV 2024
🏆 Best Hisense for movies
What sets the Hisense U8NQ apart from the competition is its astronomical number of backlight zones. In the 65-inch version, we counted as many as 1600 – and this translates to phenomenal black levels for an LCD TV. A large number of zones not only means better contrast – it also provides very high brightness. Under ideal conditions, the U8NQ can deliver up to 2000 nits, so it will perform well in a bright living room, even with windows full of sunlight. In Europe, this model runs on the VIDAA system, which works quite well. It has plenty of features, operates quickly, and perhaps as one of the few still allows recording programs from the built-in tuner directly onto a USB drive. There is no shortage of applications, although it is a closed system, so you won't find everything here. When it comes to image smoothness, Hisense does not disappoint. The 144 Hz panel, support for VRR and ALLM, and low input lag – all these things ensure that the TV performs excellently not only with movies but also with games. (However, one must consider the lack of HGiG implementation) The Hisense U8NQ is a TV that competes without complexes against much more expensive models from other brands. It has its minor shortcomings, but it offers such good picture quality and functionality that it's hard to find a better option at this price.
The best choice from the mid-range
Hisense U7NQ
🏆 Best ChooseTV selection from the mid-range
🏆 Best Hisense – quality to price ratio
Hisense U7NQ is a television that excels in the role of a "golden mean" – offering most of the advantages of the more expensive U8NQ but at a significantly lower price. We still have Mini-LED backlighting, very good contrast, and support for HDR formats, including Dolby Vision, which enhances the picture quality in movies and series.
The U7NQ has slightly fewer zones than the U8NQ, but the picture still makes a good impression – black is deep, and HDR looks quite decent. The television supports 144 Hz, so motion smoothness is at a high level – both when watching sports and playing games. Additionally, there are VRR and ALLM technologies, which console owners of PS5 and Xbox Series X will appreciate. Onboard, we again find the VIDAA system, which operates smoothly, is intuitive, and supports the most important applications.
U7NQ is a television for those who want something solid for everything – movies, sports, games – without needing to pay extra for the top model. The U7NQ is a very sensible choice for those who want a good Mini-LED television but do not necessarily need the absolute maximum brightness and contrast. It is one of the 3 most cost-effective MINI-LED televisions on the market, along with the Samsung QN85D and TCL C765 (MQLED85).
Best Cheap TV
Hisense U6NQ
🏆 Best budget Hisense TV with Mini-LED
🏆 Great choice for consoles – Full HD @ 120 Hz
U6NQ is one of the few Mini-LED TVs on the market equipped with a panel that refreshes at 4K at 60 Hz. At first glance, this may seem like a drawback – but nothing could be further from the truth. Hisense has implemented a "hybrid" panel that can operate at a refresh rate of 120 Hz when the resolution is lowered (e.g., to Full HD). This is a great alternative for consoles – including the latest ones, which rarely achieve full 4K at 120 frames anyway.
This way, you pay less and gain more – you adjust the TV to your actual needs without overpaying for features you may not use anyway. Of course, it can't be compared to more expensive models like U7NQ or U8NQ – but it performs exceptionally well in its price segment. Especially since it often costs the same as a regular LCD TV without local dimming and with the typical 60 Hz.
Best budget TV for everyday use
Hisense A7NQ
🏆 The cheapest Hisense TV with 120 Hz mode
🏆 A good choice of Hisense for everyday use
Hisense A7NQ is the basic model from the manufacturer's offering, but it definitely deserves attention. Here we have a QLED VA-type panel that provides quite decent contrast and black levels, especially for a television in this price range. Of course, it doesn't reach the Mini-LED level of the more expensive models, but for everyday viewing – it performs very well.
An interesting addition is the use of a hybrid panel mode – this means that at a lower resolution (e.g., Full HD), the television can operate with a refresh rate of 120 Hz. For many people, this is a nice bonus that enhances the viewing experience of dynamic content, such as sports or action programs. Onboard, we find the proven VIDAA system, which works quickly, has an intuitive menu, and allows recording programs to USB. Although not all applications are available, it is more than sufficient for basic usage.
Hisense A7NQ is a very affordable option for everyday viewing, ideal as the main television in a smaller living room or as a second screen at home.
*However, it is worth noting the price in comparison to the U6NQ model. If the difference turns out to be small, we definitely recommend considering the upgrade to Mini-LED – the gain in picture quality will be noticeable.
Hisense – the best TVs from the sale
Hisense is a brand that is increasingly making its mark in the television market year by year – and it must be acknowledged that it is doing so quite effectively. The models from the 2024 release have performed really well, offering interesting technical solutions at very affordable prices. Of course, the lineup lacks models that could compete directly with the most expensive Korean or Japanese constructions. But Hisense aims elsewhere – in a more human, reasonable price range. And that is where it performs the best.
