XGIMI MoGo 4 and 4 Laser pocket projectors!

Calendar 6/16/2025

XGIMI returns with a new generation of its portable projectors. The MoGo 4 and MoGo 4 Laser models are supposed to be even more compact, even brighter, and even more versatile – while still fitting… roughly where a large coffee cup would go.

Minimalist form, maximum functionality

The new models are direct successors to the successful MoGo 3 Pro, but in a refreshed form and with some improvements. Both projectors offer the same compact design and are based on the Google TV system. On board, there is Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.1, HDMI port with ARC, and in the box, we find a miniature remote that can be magnetically attached to the device's housing. The whole unit stands on an integrated base, allowing for 360° rotation.

Battery

One of the biggest drawbacks of the previous model was limited mobility – without an external power bank, longer viewing outside the home was out of the question. Now XGIMI is solving this problem. MoGo 4 offers about 2.5 hours of operation on the built-in battery in Eco mode, and in the dock, there is a second equally large battery. Together, this provides as much as 5 hours of viewing.

Laser vs. LED – which one to choose?

The fundamental difference between the MoGo 4 and MoGo 4 Laser versions is the light source used. The MoGo 4 model is a classic LED with a brightness of 450 ISO lumens, capable of displaying an image with a diagonal of up to 120 inches in Full HD 1080p. The MoGo 4 Laser, on the other hand, features a triple laser system that boosts brightness to 550 ISO lumens, offering a slightly clearer and more dynamic image.

Prices? Mobility has its value

New models went on sale in June.

  • XGIMI MoGo 4 is priced at around 589 euros, (2599 zł)

  • XGIMI MoGo 4 Laser – around 779 euros. (3499 zł)

If you are looking for a projector that can be thrown in a backpack and set up in seconds at a vacation home, camping, or simply in another room – MoGo 4 and its laser brother are very interesting options. They won't replace a home theater, but that's not the point of these projectors. It's about freedom, mobility, and zero cables, and this type of projector is becoming increasingly popular.
