Microsoft launches a series of innovations that genuinely impact how we play. The November update is a mix of AI, improvements for handhelds with Windows 11, new features in Xbox Cloud Gaming, and fresh accessories. The biggest change? Gaming Copilot goes straight to the Xbox app on smartphones and becomes your personal gaming assistant.
Gaming Copilot (Beta) now available on mobile
Gaming Copilot has previously debuted on consoles and PC, and now it's going to where we have it most often at hand: in the Xbox app on your phone. Just go to the Gaming Copilot tab and use the microphone or keyboard.
Copilot works in real-time and knows what is happening in your game. You can ask for advice, secrets, tips, builds, and even recall your achievement history. The response is instant, and the answers are contextual, meaning they are tailored to the gameplay.
Full Screen Experience on more devices with Windows 11
The fullscreen mode, known from ROG Ally, is now coming to an even greater number of handhelds with Windows 11, as well as to laptops, desktops, and tablets through the Xbox Insider and Windows Insider programs. The interface is designed for controllers, works intuitively, and minimizes all distractions. In practice, Windows becomes a console: quick game switching, clean layout, no unnecessary elements.
Streaming up to 1440p and manual resolution selection
If you're gaming in the cloud, Microsoft is adding something that players have long requested: the option to choose resolution before launching a game. You can manually set the streaming and adjust the quality to your internet and screen. In select games, Xbox Cloud Gaming will now support streaming up to 1440p for Game Pass Ultimate subscribers.
Xbox Cloud Gaming Expands to More Countries
The cloud expansion is moving fast. Cloud Gaming launches in India
This is the 29th market where cloud gaming is available. In India, you can now stream hundreds of games on phones, PCs, consoles, and compatible TVs.
Support for LG TV and Amazon Fire TV in Brazil and Argentina
Xbox is expanding its infrastructure in South America, reducing the queues for servers and making cloud gaming available on more devices.
Xbox app coming to more Fire TVs. Soon, the Xbox app will be available on more Amazon devices, including:
Fire TV Stick 4K Plus
Fire TV Stick 4K Select
Fire TV 4-Series TVs
Fire TV Omni QLED
Install the app, connect your controller, launch the game. No console needed.
ChooseTV Design Lab with free engraving
From November 28 to December 12, every controller purchased in the ChooseTV Design Lab can have free engraving. Name, nickname, motto, anything. Microsoft strongly emphasizes that the controller should be as personal as gaming itself.
New Accessories: Backbone Pro and Limited Edition SpongeBob Pads
Backbone Pro – Xbox Edition
A controller designed for gaming on any screen: phone, tablet, PC, TV, or streaming devices. It supports USB-C and Bluetooth, has the ergonomics known from official Xbox controllers, and is ready for long mobile sessions.
Limited Edition SpongeBob Movie Controllers
Two versions are available: the classic Xbox Wireless Controller and the Xbox Elite Series 2. Both feature SpongeBob's iconic smile and the ability to customize in the Design Lab. The film "The SpongeBob Movie: Search for SquarePants" hits theaters on December 19.
The November Xbox update is a package of real improvements: AI in your pocket, full-screen mode for handhelds with Windows 11, streaming up to 1440p, cloud gaming entering India, and new accessories. This is one of the larger sets of changes in recent months and a solid step towards gaming anywhere and on everything.
