85-inch Samsung TVs – Test Rankings

Technology: LCD VA, Mini-LED QLED

Brand: SAMSUNG

Verdict:

The Frame Pro 2026 makes sense primarily when the TV is meant to look good in the living room and not be another large black slab on the wall. And here Samsung still does something that most manufacturers cannot reproduce as well. Flush mounting, interchangeable bezels, Art Mode, a matte finish and the wireless One Connect make it so that, when properly hung, The Frame Pro can actually look more l...

Verdict:

The M80H shows its strengths where motion matters most. A fast panel, refresh rate up to 144 Hz and relatively low motion blur mean sport and fast-paced games look really good on it. In this respect the TV can even outclass some much more expensive Samsung LCD models. Gamers also get low input lag, three full-bandwidth HDMI 2.1 ports and Game Motion Plus, which can improve the smoothness of games ...

Technology: LCD VA, Mini-LED RGB

Brand: SAMSUNG

Verdict:

The Samsung R85H is, above all, a very versatile television that performs well in almost any use. You can place it in a bright living room, connect a console, watch a film or series in the evening, and use it for everyday broadcast TV, and each time you’ll get a picture of a good standard. It may not be a model that makes as strong an impression from the first minutes as Samsung’s best OLEDs, but ...

Technology: LCD VA, Mini-LED RGB

Brand: SAMSUNG

Verdict:

The Samsung R95H is a TV that, above all, shows that the classic LCD panel still has a lot to offer. Micro RGB is not just a marketing name here, because in the right scenes it can actually make a difference. When strongly saturated, uniform colours appear on screen, particularly reds and greens, the R95H can show them with an intensity that is hard to find in typical Mini-LED TVs. Add very deep b...

Technology: WRGB OLED

Brand: SAMSUNG

Verdict:

Samsung S85H is a very successful continuation of the S85 series and a television that still fulfils its primary role well – to be an affordable entry into the world of OLEDs. The biggest change compared with the predecessor is the use of the new OLED SE panel from LG Display, but the overall character of the model has remained practically unchanged. Its greatest strengths remain perfect blacks, v...

Verdict:

The Samsung S90H is a TV that simply makes a superb impression. The combination of an OLED’s absolute black, high brightness and excellent motion clarity gives a picture that’s hard to look away from. And that’s exactly what we expect from a good OLED TV. The matte anti-reflective coating also works very well. Reflections in bright sunlight stop being a major problem, and thanks to the presence of...

Technology: QD-OLED

Brand: SAMSUNG

Verdict:

The Samsung S99H is probably the best OLED TV we've tested so far, and certainly Samsung's best OLED in many years. In terms of picture quality it's genuinely hard to find a weak point. Blacks are perfect, as befits an organic panel, and the HDR effect impresses with its brightness and colour saturation. The use of a QD-OLED panel delivers an image that in many scenes looks almost reference-grade....

Verdict:

The Samsung QN80H is a genuinely successful mid-range television and, in our view, should be seen exactly that way. Not as a new Neo QLED flagship, but as the first model in Samsung's lineup to give a clear taste of better picture quality. Full Mini LED backlighting, high brightness and well-saturated colours mean that for someone upgrading from a standard LCD TV the difference can be substantial....

Verdict:

Samsung The Frame Pro 2025 is a television that brings a breath of fresh air to the lifestyle model segment. The design is, of course, the main highlight – a symmetrical frame, the possibility of easily changing decorative frames, and above all, the wall image effect thanks to the matte finish and special mount. In everyday use, it makes a great impression, and the Art Store feature combined with ...

Verdict:

The Samsung S85F in the tested version with a WOLED panel is a television that must be judged primarily in light of its price. True to organic technology, it offers perfect, almost ideal blacks and infinite contrast in cinematic conditions. This feature alone will impress the majority of buyers, especially those upgrading from any LCD television. However, it cannot be denied that in a direct compa...
