XGIMI MoGo 4 and 4 Laser pocket projectors

Calendar 6/16/2025

XGIMI returns with a new generation of its portable projectors. The MoGo 4 and MoGo 4 Laser models are set to be even more compact, even brighter, and even more versatile – and they will still fit… roughly where a large coffee mug does.

Minimalist form, maximum functionality

The new models are direct successors to the successful MoGo 3 Pro, but in a refreshed form and with a few enhancements. Both projectors offer the same compact design and are based on the Google TV system. They feature Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.1, HDMI ARC port, and in the box, we find a miniature remote that can be magnetically attached to the device casing. The whole setup stands on an integrated base, allowing for 360° rotation.

Battery

One of the biggest drawbacks of the previous model was limited mobility – without an external power bank, it was out of the question to watch for an extended period outside the home. Now XGIMI solves this problem. MoGo 4 offers approximately 2.5 hours of operation on the built-in battery in Eco mode, and the dock contains a second, equally capacious battery. Together, this provides up to 5 hours of viewing.

Laser vs LED – what to choose?

The main difference between the MoGo 4 and MoGo 4 Laser versions is the light source used. The MoGo 4 model is a classic LED with a brightness of 450 ISO lumens, capable of displaying an image with a diagonal of up to 120 inches in Full HD 1080p. In contrast, the MoGo 4 Laser features a triple laser system that boosts brightness to 550 ISO lumens, offering a slightly clearer and more dynamic image.

Prices? Mobility has its value

New models became available for sale in June.

  • XGIMI MoGo 4 is priced at around 589 euros, (2599 zł)

  • XGIMI MoGo 4 Laser – around 779 euros. (3499 zł)

If you are looking for a projector that can be thrown into a backpack and set up in seconds in a holiday home, at a campsite, or simply in another room – the MoGo 4 and its laser sibling are a very interesting proposition. They won't replace a home cinema, but that's not what these projectors are about. It's about freedom, mobility, and zero cables, and this type of projector is becoming increasingly popular.
