A new week brings several very interesting premieres for fans of survival, horror, and science fiction games. Among the most talked-about debuts are Subnautica 2, the space horror Directive 8020, and the more tranquil, relaxing Outbound. This is one of the more diverse weeks of recent months, especially for PC gamers.
Subnautica 2 and Directive 8020 could be the biggest hits of the week
The biggest interest is, of course, Subnautica 2 from Unknown Worlds. The new installment of the popular survival game will once again take players underwater on an alien planet full of mysterious creatures and dangers. This time there will also be cooperation for four players, the ability to build your own bases and explore a completely new world. The game will enter early access on 14 May.
Directive 8020 is also shaping up to be very promising, being a new science fiction horror inspired by the atmosphere of films like "Alien." The action focuses on the crew of the Cassiopeia ship, which crashes on an alien planet and discovers that they are not alone there. The creators are heavily emphasising tension, paranoia, and a heavy atmosphere of cosmic threat.
This week, there will also be a lot of unusual games
Outbound, a calm game about life in a camper set in a futuristic world, looks interesting as well. Players will develop their own mobile home, gather resources, and travel through an open world either alone or with friends. This is definitely a more relaxing option for those seeking a calmer gameplay experience.
Among the less typical releases is Notmads, where players travel on the back of a massive living beast, and Dark Light: Survivor, a cyberpunk roguelike that combines dynamic action with survival and the dark atmosphere of a post-apocalypse. Fans of science fiction strategy may want to check out Battlestar Galactica: Scattered Hopes, inspired by the iconic series.
Week 20 looks very promising for fans of science fiction, survival, and horror. The biggest excitement is generated by Subnautica 2 and Directive 8020, but there will also be calmer and more unconventional releases.
