Epson announces a new flagship projector for large venues. Premiere at ISE 2026!

Calendar 12/15/2025

Epson has announced a new high-brightness 4K flagship projector set to debut at ISE 2026 in Barcelona. The device is designed for large commercial venues and aims to deliver a new level of performance, precision, and installation flexibility.

Epson has announced a new, upcoming flagship projector intended for commercial use, which aims to set a new standard for "performance, precision, and versatility" in large spaces. Although there are few details at the moment, the company has confirmed that the device will be showcased for the first time at the ISE 2026 fair in Barcelona, which will take place in February next year.

The Japanese manufacturer, known for some of the best projectors on the professional market, revealed that the new flagship will be a model with very high brightness and 4K resolution. At this time, it is not yet known what type of light source will be used, or what maximum brightness and image diagonal the projector will offer. One thing is certain – the equipment has been designed with large venues in mind, such as auditoriums, exhibition centres, or immersive installations.

Epson also announces a new integrated cooling system, which is expected to improve reliability during long-term use, and a wide range of connections, ensuring compatibility with various signal sources and AV systems.

"Infinite Column of Light" at the Epson Stand

During ISE 2026, visitors will be able to see a new projector in a special installation called the "Infinity installation". The experience has been designed by Luca Rapis from One Thousand and aims to resemble an "infinite column of light", surrounding viewers with a dynamic, layered environment that is intended to engage both the senses and the imagination. It sounds ambitious – and very much in Epson's style, which has focused on spectacular demonstrations of projection capabilities for years.

New generation of professional lenses

Together with its flagship projector, Epson will also showcase a new generation of professional lenses. These are designed to increase installation flexibility and enable the use of the projector in a wide variety of scenarios – from traditional event halls to unusual spaces and special projects.

Interactive UST Projector for Education

The second novelty announced for ISE 2026 will be an interactive ultra-short throw projector, designed for education and teamwork in classrooms. Here the details are also sparse, but Epson promises a large image, high resolution, and brightness ensuring good visibility from any spot in the classroom.

However, the key word is likely to be "interactive." It suggests the possibility of direct interaction with the displayed image – perhaps using a pointer, pen, or other dedicated accessory. Additionally, the new UST projector is expected to consume less energy than traditional display technologies, which may be a significant argument for schools and public institutions.

Projection versus panels and LEDs

Epson emphasises that its aim is to demonstrate that modern projection can "surpass flat panels and LED displays in terms of creativity, flexibility and visual effect." We still have to wait for prices and exact market launch dates, but everything suggests that the new projectors will be available for sale in 2026 – and they are unlikely to be cheap solutions.
