LG has decided to breathe some more life into its televisions when they're not displaying series or matches. Thanks to a collaboration with the Sedition platform, the LG Gallery+ service has been enriched with over 300 new contemporary artworks. These are not just ordinary "wallpapers" – the collection features ambitious graphics, video animations, and works that utilise artificial intelligence and biometric data. The whole idea is to make the television in the living room a dynamic image that we can tailor to our moods or interior decor.
From classics to modern experiments
Among the new arrivals are series prepared exclusively for LG device owners. We can see, among others, the works of Mat Collishaw (one of the key figures in British art) and the digital sculptures of Diego Castro, which blend the world of technology with nature. The entire Gallery+ catalogue now includes over 5000 items – from traditional painting to gaming atmospheres. Interestingly, the system now allows you to add the appropriate musical backdrop to the image, which is intended to help create a specific atmosphere at home. However, this service requires the latest webOS 25, so it will be available to the owners of new models or those that have received an update.
28 countries on the list, but Poland is missing...
And here we come to the least pleasant part of this news. LG announced that the new collection from Sedition is arriving in 28 countries. The list includes almost all of Europe – from Germany and France, through Slovakia and Estonia, to Iceland. Unfortunately, Poland is not on this list. Why was our country overlooked, considering that our immediate neighbours are already testing the new features? Official statements remain silent on this issue. We can only hope that this is a temporary situation and soon someone in headquarters will remember Polish users.
