Xbox Game Pass is delivering again, and it's really solid. The April offer is one of the strongest in recent months, with major releases, classic comebacks, and 'day one' games. Microsoft is adding both big AAA titles and smaller, but very interesting games to the subscription.
The biggest premieres show how hard Game Pass is fighting for players' attention
In the spotlight is Hades II, which comes to Game Pass on release day and is one of the most anticipated indie games of recent years. Additionally, there's The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered, which is a refreshed version of the iconic RPG, as well as Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, which remains one of the biggest brands in the industry.
The list of games is really extensive. We've got the survival game DayZ, the strategy game Endless Legend 2, the theme park simulator Planet Coaster 2, and the calm, atmospheric Tiny Bookshop. This means Game Pass appeals to both hardcore gamers and those looking for something more chill.
Day one new releases and smaller projects show that Game Pass continues to support creative games
It's worth paying attention to the less obvious titles that debut straight into the subscription, like Kiln or Vampire Crawlers. These are games that may not have huge budgets, but often offer fresh ideas and unique gameplay.
As always, something for something. Grand Theft Auto V will be leaving Game Pass in the middle of the month, so if anyone hasn't finished it yet, it's the last moment to catch up.
April on Game Pass features a really strong lineup. Major releases, classics, and a variety of genres make this one of the best months for subscribers in a long time.
