The winter streaming season is shaping up to be a clash of the giants. Apple TV+, HBO Max and Netflix are gearing up for three massive premieres that will debut one after the other — like pearls on a string.
First up is “Pluribus” from the creator of Breaking Bad, then the long-awaited finale of Stranger Things 5, and finally — a return to Westeros in the series “A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms”.
“Pluribus” – a mystery from Albuquerque (Apple TV+)
Premiere: 7 November 2025
Platform: Apple TV+
Format: 4K HDR, Dolby Atmos
New series from Vince Gilligan, the creator of Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul, is one of Apple’s most enigmatic projects. “Pluribus” (from Latin “many”) is set to be a sci-fi drama about “the most unhappy man on Earth.” The story unfolds in Albuquerque, and Apple is building anticipation with a series of mysterious clips and a phone number you can call to hear a disturbing message.
Yesterday, the first teaser was shown — and it seems Apple is once again aiming for a dark, philosophical tale with cinematic grandeur.
“Stranger Things 5” – the end of the Hawkins era (Netflix)
Premieres: 26 November, 25 December and 31 December 2025
Format: 4K HDR, Dolby Atmos
This is the finale. Eight episodes closing the saga Stranger Things will be divided into three parts. Netflix has confirmed that it is its most expensive production in history — each episode cost between 50 to 60 million dollars, and the length is more akin to films than series (90–120 minutes). After a three-and-a-half year break, Hawkins returns in a big way.
Will the finale meet the huge expectations of fans? One thing is for sure — this will be the biggest premiere on Netflix in 2025.
“A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms” – a return to Westeros (HBO Max)
Premiere: 19 January 2026
Format: 4K HDR, Dolby Atmos
After House of the Dragon, it's time for the next chapter in the Game of Thrones universe. George R. R. Martin returns with a new story, this time set one hundred years before the events of the original saga. The series will tell the tale of an unusual duo — Ser Duncan the Tall and his young squire, known as Egg.
The first season is set to consist of six episodes and, as HBO promises, will once again offer a monumental spectacle, full of political intrigue and dragons.

One thing is for sure – it won’t be boring this winter.
