Samsung Micro RGB TV 115” – launch in South Korea!

Calendar 8/13/2025

Samsung Micro RGB TV 115” – the world’s first TV with microscopic RGB LEDs. Launching in Korea, with a global debut later this year.

Samsung has officially launched the world's first Micro RGB television in South Korea – a gigantic 115-inch model first showcased at CES 2025. Instead of traditional Mini-LEDs, it employs millions of microscopic RGB diodes (red, green, and blue) placed directly behind the panel. The result? A wider colour gamut, more local dimming zones, and up to 20% better energy efficiency.

Precision through AI

The heart of the new screen is the Micro RGB AI Engine processor, analysing images frame by frame and optimising colours in real-time. The television achieves 100% coverage of the BT.2020 standard and has the "Micro RGB Precision Colour" certification from VDE. Thanks to AI, the display can bring muted colours to life, improve contrast, and provide a significantly more accurate representation of source materials.

Specifications for the Demanding

The new model offers a 4K resolution, a refresh rate of 144 Hz for smooth gaming without blur, support for HDR10+, AI upscaling, as well as a 70-watt 4.2.2 audio system with Dolby Atmos. There are four HDMI 2.1, USB-A, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth available. Additionally, the television can synchronise the picture with smart lighting from Philips Hue, creating a cinematic atmosphere in the living room.

Price and Future Plans

In South Korea, the Micro RGB TV costs 44.9 million won (~32,000 USD). It will first hit the American market, followed by other countries. Initially, only the 115” variant will be available, but Samsung is announcing further models – 75” and 85” in 4K and 98” in 8K. Competition is fierce: Sony is preparing a similar technology for 2026, and Hisense has already showcased its model 116UX RGB-Mini LED.
