Samsung Display: The future is happening now

Calendar 2/3/2026

Samsung Display has released material that at first glance looks like a trailer for a new game in the style of Cyberpunk 2077 or Arc Raiders, but in reality, it’s a specific overview of the technology that is just coming into use. Instead of a boring presentation in a conference room, we got an action film about a team of reporters chasing a massive tornado, which allowed them to test the equipment in conditions where ordinary electronics typically wouldn’t survive. Anyway, you’ll see for yourselves:

In the editorial control centre, QD-OLED monitors play a key role. Their main advantage is that the image retains perfect colours even when viewed from a very large angle, which is crucial when working in a high-pressure team environment. However, when the action shifts to a futuristic car, a true leap towards usability is evident. The entire width of the dashboard is taken up by a single curved panel that adapts to the shape of the interior, and the cameras monitoring the driver are completely concealed beneath the surface of the screen, giving the cockpit a clean look free from any unnecessary openings or cutouts.

The biggest impression is made by the equipment used directly in the field. Samsung showcased, among other things, the MONT FLEX type screen (probably used in the Galaxy Fold), which after a specific impact on a hard surface in the middle of a storm simply continues to work without any damage. Added to this are smart goggles with miniature displays of immense brightness, allowing clear visibility of digital maps even in the bright sun on the desert.

The entire system of displays is constantly synchronised, transmitting data in real-time between all the crew's devices. It’s a vision of a world where advanced technology finally becomes sturdy and resilient enough to keep up with us in real life.

And how do you see such a future for screens?
