Foldable smartphone in a new edition
Samsung officially announces the debut of the long-awaited Galaxy Z TriFold – a smartphone with a foldable triple screen. This is set to be a new step in the development of the Fold series, which will enrich the manufacturer's portfolio later this year. The device will debut alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7, and its design is said to be “innovative in the market.” The TriFold will not be an evolution, but a completely new approach – and all signs point to its premiere happening this October.
Project Moohan, or Android in augmented reality
The second novelty will be the XR goggles – created in collaboration with Google as part of the "Moohan" project. The device is set to combine the Android XR system with multimodal artificial intelligence, becoming part of a larger Galaxy ecosystem. The goggles are designed to function not only as entertainment hardware but also as a hub for health and fitness services, integrating data from Samsung apps and devices. This is intended to be more versatile hardware than the competitive goggles from Apple or Meta.
New wave of products: S25 FE and Tab S11 just around the corner
Aside from the TriFold and XR goggles, Samsung is also preparing more launches: Galaxy S25 FE and new Galaxy Tab S11 tablets. The company mentioned them during the last investor meeting, clearly indicating that the second half of the year will be heavily loaded with launches. The goal is to strengthen its position as a leader in the premium segment, with new devices functioning as a unified ecosystem.
Connected health and paid fitness services?
Samsung also mentioned a few words about the development of health services. The term “connected health” appeared, which may suggest that the company is planning to introduce subscriptions related to fitness and health apps – perhaps in response to Apple Fitness+ or Google Fit Premium. If so, Samsung will take another step towards digital services – and will further tie the user to its equipment.
