Samsung adds its first WOLED monitor to its range!

Calendar 7/10/2026

Samsung has been developing its own QD-OLED technology for years, but the latest launch shows the company does not intend to limit itself solely to its own solutions. Three new OLED monitors have just gone on sale, and one of them will go down in the company's history as the first model to use a WOLED panel from LG Display.

Samsung follows in the footsteps of its OLED TVs

The new model is the Samsung G73SH monitor, which, according to FlatpanelsHD, is based on a WOLED panel manufactured by LG Display. It's the first such design in the history of Samsung's monitors. The decision is not a complete surprise. The company has been following a similar strategy for several years with its OLED TVs, where, depending on the model and size, it uses both its own QD-OLED panels and WOLED panels.

G73SH was designed primarily with gamers in mind. It offers 4K resolution, a 165 Hz refresh rate and a 330 Hz mode when switched to Full HD.

New QD-OLEDs and a clear signal to the market

At the same time, Samsung began selling the G80SH models in 27- and 32-inch versions. The monitors are fitted with 4th-generation QD-OLED panels with 4K resolution and a 240 Hz refresh rate. The manufacturer has equipped them with a matte screen coating, HDMI 2.1 ports, DisplayPort 2.1 and USB-C with up to 98 W power delivery. They also support HDR10+ Gaming.

Although the launch of new monitors is significant in itself, an even more interesting development is the direction the entire OLED market is taking. Samsung is increasingly using panels from its biggest rival, something that seemed unlikely just a few years ago. All signs suggest that, faced with growing competition from Chinese manufacturers, the boundaries between former rivals are gradually starting to blur.
