Subscribers to PlayStation Plus should brace for changes in the catalog. Sony has confirmed that four games will leave the PS Plus Extra offering in mid-March. The information appeared in the Japanese version of the PlayStation Store and quickly circulated within the community. Among the titles set for removal is one of the most popular cooperative games available on the service. There’s limited time to catch up on these titles. The games will be available only until 18 March.
One of the best cooperative games is disappearing
However, the biggest excitement may be stirred by the disappearance of R-Type Final 3 Evolved. This challenging, classic shoot’em up in a modern edition combines old-school precision with refreshed graphics. The game focuses on fast-paced action, dozens of ship variants, and an extensive weapon system, allowing everyone to tailor their play style to themselves. For fans of the genre, this is one of the most polished entries in the series and a solid reason to check it out on PS Plus Extra before it's removed.
Besides it, the catalogue will also lose:
Mobile Suit Gundam: Battle Operation Code Fairy
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge
Cris Tales
Each of these games has its own audience – from mecha fans and single-player campaign enthusiasts, to classic shoot’em up lovers, and jRPG supporters with unique graphics. After March 18, these titles will disappear from the PS Plus Extra catalogue and can no longer be downloaded as part of the subscription. This is a standard rotation of the offer, but this time the loss is particularly painful for fans of retro vibes and cooperative fun. If any of these titles are still waiting in your "pile of shame," this is the last moment to give them a chance.
The March PS Plus Extra update will bring not only new games but also farewells. Four titles, including the highly rated Shredder’s Revenge, will leave the service on 18 March. Sony continues the rotating catalog model, so it's worth checking regularly what is disappearing from the offer.
