LG will showcase the first 115-inch LCD television in 2026!

Calendar 1/7/2026

In 2026, LG will introduce its first-ever 115-inch LCD TV. The new QNED lineup will include miniLED and Micro RGB models, run webOS 26, and will not support HDMI 2.2 or Dolby Vision 2.

Next to the models referred to as “Micro RGB”, which are also LCD TVs, LG will introduce for the first time in 2026 LCD TVs from the QNED series in sizes reaching up to 115 inches. While LG is clearly focusing on OLED technology, the company does not intend to abandon its wide range of LCD TVs. The portfolio is expected to include both very affordable models and high-end designs.

It's worth noting that LG had previously showcased “Micro RGB” TVs, which use RGB LED backlighting placed behind the LCD panel. As revealed by FlatpanelsHD, the manufacturer plans to launch as many as three lines of LCD TVs with RGB LED backlighting in 2026.

QNED up to 115 inches for the first time in LG's history

In 2026, LG will refresh its QNED LCD TV lineup, introducing the QNED90B, QNED85B, QNED82B, and QNED80B series, with the possibility of additional models being added later. The letter "B" in the name denotes the 2026 model year – for comparison, last year's LCD models ended with the letter "A".

The biggest novelty will be LG's first ever 115-inch LCD TV, which will be included in the QNED90B series. This model will offer 4K resolution, local dimming LED, and a refresh rate of 165 Hz. The panel is supplied by TCL CSOT, which also manufactures the 115-inch LCD panels used by TCL and Samsung. Prices have not yet been disclosed, but it is expected that the 115QNED90B model will be significantly more expensive than the current, more affordable LCD TVs with diagonal sizes of 98–100 inches.

The smaller QNED90B variants will receive 144 Hz panels with miniLED backlighting and local dimming, although LG has yet to specify the number of zones. A refreshed 100-inch QNED85B will also be offered.

No Dolby Vision 2 and HDMI 2.2

A new feature for 2026 will be Motion Booster, already known from TCL, Hisense, and Samsung TVs. It allows for doubling the refresh rate up to 330 Hz at 1080p resolution, primarily aimed at PC gamers. At the same time, LG has confirmed that the TVs for 2026 will not support Dolby Vision 2 or HDMI 2.2. The webOS 26 system will receive a range of new features, which LG has previously announced.

Additionally, the manufacturer is preparing a new line of LCD TVs inspired by the Samsung The Frame concept – under the name Gallery TV.
