Hisense launches its 2026 TV range. RGB miniLED goes on sale.

Hisense has officially launched its 2026 TV lineup. The manufacturer is expanding its offering in both the premium segment and with more affordable models. The biggest new feature is the debut of RGB miniLED technology, which is designed to deliver better picture quality when watching HDR content. The company hopes this will help it compete even more strongly with the world’s largest TV manufacturers. The new models are already arriving in stores in Europe, the United States and other regions.

RGB miniLED becomes Hisense's new weapon

The most important models in this year’s lineup are the Hisense UR9S and UR8S TVs. Both use RGB miniLED technology, which combines an LCD panel with a backlight made up of red, green and blue LEDs. This approach enables a wider colour gamut and better HDR performance. The main difference between the models is the number of local dimming zones, which directly affect contrast and image quality. The TVs will be available in sizes from 55 up to 100 inches. The manufacturer also announced an update adding support for Dolby Vision 2 later this year. In addition to the flagships, the U7S Pro, U7S, U6S and E8S models using traditional miniLED backlighting have also gone on sale. All offer 4K resolution, since Hisense has not been developing 8K TVs for several years. The company has also prepared cheaper E7 and A series aimed at less demanding users. In Europe the TVs use the Vidaa system, while in the USA variants with Google TV or Fire TV are available. The range covers devices across various price points.

Hisense is stepping up the pressure on the biggest manufacturers

For several years Hisense has been steadily increasing its position in the TV market. Together with TCL, the Chinese manufacturer is increasingly effectively challenging Samsung and LG, much like the Korean brands did when they took over the market a decade or so ago. The company is focusing primarily on developing LCD technology rather than OLED TVs. Although it has a single OLED model in its lineup, it does not currently treat the technology as a priority. The strategy centres on further developing miniLED and RGB miniLED. The largest models reach diagonals of up to 100 inches and are set to compete with similar designs from TCL and Samsung. Some TVs will go on sale in the coming weeks, while selected models will not appear until late 2026. Everything suggests competition in the premium TV segment will become even fiercer. Customers can expect an ever-growing choice of modern screens using advanced backlight technologies.

Hisense has started selling its 2026 TVs, focusing primarily on the new RGB miniLED technology. The manufacturer hopes this will help it compete more effectively with TCL, Samsung and LG, offering premium TVs and cheaper miniLED models in sizes up to 100 inches.
