Hisense is seriously stretching the definition of “mid-range”, presenting a new 116-inch U75QG ULED Mini-LED television for the American market. The device is positioned as a cheaper alternative to the flagship model 116UX RGB-MiniLED, which costs a whopping 25,000 USD.
In comparison, the U75QG is priced at a “mere” 19,999 USD and will be available exclusively at Best Buy for some time. It’s still a five-figure sum, but Hisense explains that the model sits between the luxury UX series and more standard brand televisions.
Premium Specification Despite "Mid-Range"
Although in theory it's an "intermediate" model, on paper it looks like a flagship. ULED is the designation for Hisense's QLED televisions – that is, LCD panels with a layer of quantum dots. In the case of the 116-inch giant, we get:
Mini-LED with over 3000 local dimming zones
Peak brightness up to 4000 nits
Support for Dolby Vision IQ and HDR10+, as well as Filmmaker Mode
Hi-View AI Engine X processor from the UX series, responsible for scene recognition, image optimisation, and advanced colour management
6.2.2-channel Cinestage X system, tuned by Devialet, with support for Dolby Atmos and DTS:X
Gaming features: 165 Hz refresh rate, VRR, Auto Low-Latency Mode, and Game Mode Ultra
Google TV operating system with a full library of apps and voice control
Price and Availability
Model Hisense U75QG is currently only available at Best Buy. At the time of launch, the price was stated as $19,999 USD, but it is currently listed for $21,999 USD – which is $3,000 USD less than the 116UX RGB-MiniLED. The television will also be available in other regions soon.
