IO Interactive has reason to be pleased, because 007 First Light has reached another important sales milestone. The title has just passed the 4 million copies sold mark, confirming strong interest in the new James Bond adventure. It took the game less than three months from its release to achieve this result. The developers, however, are not slowing down and are already working on more content.
007 First Light szybko zdobywa kolejnych graczy
007 First Light has been performing very well on the market from the start. Within the first 24 hours of release the game sold over 1.5 million copies, and now, just under three months later, the counter has already exceeded 4 million copies. The figure covers sales on PC, Xbox and PlayStation 5, showing that the new instalment of agent 007’s adventures has found a broad audience. But IO Interactive’s plans don’t stop there. The studio has confirmed it still intends to grow the title through further updates, and an announced version for the Nintendo Switch 2 could give sales an extra boost. Its release should allow the game to reach another group of players.
The developers have prepared a substantial amount of new content
IO Interactive also outlined the key elements of the game's first-year roadmap. Players can expect new Tactical Simulations, which are additional challenges set across multiple locations. There will also be new story missions in which Bond investigates leads related to Webb Industries and a mysterious technology. One of the announced storylines will focus on Bond's efforts to forge an alliance between MI6 and the Pirate King Bawma. Updates will also bring new weapons, gear, cosmetics and further gameplay scenarios. The developers are also considering adding a New Game+ mode, which would allow players to replay the campaign while keeping some of the equipment they've acquired, though that feature has not yet been officially confirmed.
007 First Light has sold over 4 million copies in just under three months, which is a very good result for IO Interactive. The game had already made a strong start, selling more than 1.5 million copies on day one. The studio intends to continue developing the title with new missions, challenges, equipment and other gameplay elements. The release of a Nintendo Switch 2 version could further boost sales.
