iPhone będzie ostrzegać przed oszustwami. Apple wprowadza nową ochronę w iOS 27

Cybercriminals are increasingly using phone calls, text messages and emails to scam people out of money and data. Apple wants to better protect users from these kinds of threats. iOS 27 will introduce a new system called Trust Insights, which will analyse an iPhone owner's behaviour during potentially risky situations. If it detects signs of manipulation, it will display an appropriate warning or ask for additional verification. Apple emphasises that the solution has been designed with users' privacy fully in mind.

Trust Insights will detect suspicious user behaviour

The new Trust Insights system was unveiled at WWDC 2026. The feature analyses how people use their phone during calls, text messages and email. Apple does not, however, inspect the content of calls or messages. Instead, the system looks for unusual behaviour, such as the pace of responses or sudden changes in how the device is used. If the algorithms determine a user may be under pressure from a scammer, they will display an appropriate warning. In some cases, an extra confirmation step or a short delay will be required before a transfer proceeds. The analysis runs entirely on the device. Once complete, data is immediately deleted and only the final risk assessment is sent to Apple's servers. The result is then compared with the user's account activity to detect any irregularities. Apple emphasises that the solution is designed to protect privacy while effectively reducing the number of successful scams. This is another step in expanding security features across Apple's ecosystem.

The feature will cover several types of activity and will be optional

Trust Insights will analyse five main categories of user activity. These include payments, changes to account settings, sending messages and signing documents. Depending on the level of risk, the system will select the appropriate alert method. Apple will also allow users to turn this feature off in the phone’s settings. However, the maker has implemented a specific waiting period before the protection can be deactivated. This is intended to stop scammers from convincing users to immediately disable protection during a call. Google Pixel phones have offered similar measures for some time. However, this is the first time Apple has introduced such an extensive mechanism into iOS. Trust Insights is set to become one of the key elements protecting iPhone users against increasingly sophisticated scams. The feature will debut with the release of iOS 27.

Apple is strengthening iPhone security by adding a Trust Insights system in iOS 27 that detects potential fraud attempts. The new feature will warn users about suspicious situations before they make a transfer or share sensitive data. Everything will run locally on the device while maintaining a high level of privacy.
